Glossary
Funscript & Interactive Device Terms A–Z
Action
A single data point in a funscript, consisting of a timestamp (at) and a position (pos). The sequence of actions defines the device movement.
Axis
A direction of motion. Single-axis devices move in one dimension (stroke). Multi-axis devices add pitch, roll, twist, surge, and/or sway.
BPM
Beats per minute. Used in PMV scripting to sync device strokes to the music tempo.
Buttplug.io
An open-source protocol and library for communicating with interactive devices. Supported by many funscript players and the Funscript.me plugin.
Cock Hero
A genre of interactive challenge video where the viewer must match the beat. Often scored with funscripts.
Commission
A private, paid request to a specific creator to script a particular video.
Connection Key
A unique identifier used by The Handy to authenticate WiFi connections from players and plugins.
Feel Stroker
The inner sleeve used by the Kiiroo Keon device, made from SuperSkin material.
Funscript
A JSON file format (.funscript) that stores timed positional data for interactive device synchronisation with video content.
Heatmap
A visual representation of a funscript, showing intensity and speed variation over time using colour gradients (cool → hot).
Keyframe
A manually placed action point in a scripting editor. The editor interpolates motion between keyframes.
L0
TCode axis identifier for the primary stroke (up/down) axis.
Launch
Short for Fleshlight Launch — the first mainstream interactive stroking device (now discontinued).
Multi-axis
A device or script that supports more than one axis of motion (e.g., OSR2 = 3 axes, SR6 = 6 axes).
MultiFunPlayer
A popular desktop funscript player with advanced multi-axis device support and media source integration.
OFS
OpenFunScripter — the most popular desktop application for creating and editing funscripts.
OSR2
Open Source Robot 2 — a community-designed 3-axis interactive device by TempestMAx.
Pitch
An axis of motion representing forward/backward tilt of the device.
PMV
Porn Music Video — a video edit that syncs adult content to music. Popular for beat-matched funscripts.
Position (pos)
A value from 0 to 100 in a funscript action, representing the device stroke position. 0 = bottom, 100 = top.
Roll
An axis of motion representing left/right tilt of the device.
Scripting
The process of creating a funscript by mapping device movements to video timestamps.
ScriptPlayer
A desktop funscript player for Windows with broad device support. One of the original funscript players.
Single-axis
A device that moves in only one axis (stroke). Examples: The Handy, Keon, Launch.
SR6
Sex Robot 6 — a community-designed 6-axis interactive device by TempestMAx. The most advanced open-source device.
StandardOSA
The sleeve standard used by The Handy. OSA = Open Standard Actuator.
Surge
An axis of motion representing forward/backward translation (push/pull).
Sway
An axis of motion representing left/right translation.
TCode
An open serial protocol for controlling multi-axis devices like the OSR2 and SR6. Sends axis position commands over USB.
The Handy
The most popular single-axis interactive stroking device, manufactured in Norway. Connects via WiFi.
Timestamp (at)
The time in milliseconds at which a funscript action should occur.
Twist
An axis of motion representing rotation around the device's vertical axis.
